I believe that there is only one Holy God and His only Begotten Son whom was called Jehovah in the Old Testament among other names and titles. This Son is the Pre-Incarnate person who came to earth through the virgin birth, becoming flesh, (John 1:1-14) who is Christ Jesus. He was crucified, died, was buried and was Resurrected by God the Father on the third day. He has ascended into Heaven and remains there waiting for the time of His second Coming in Glory with His Holy Angels. He will Resurrect all believers of all time. This is when the "rapture" occurs. He will rule upon this Earth and His Kingdom will have no end.
I believe the Holy Spirit is exactly as scripture demonstrates as being a limited manifestation of God the Father Himself. The position is called Biblical Monotheism not to be confused with Unitarianism which is Heretical. This position was held by the Earliest Church Fathers. It was Tertullian who invented the Trinitarian concept that crept it's way into the Roman Catholic Church and is the predominately held position in Christianity. Unfortunately many if not most Christians do not take the necessary time to investigate and challenge what they consider to be "core beliefs". It seems as if it is a dangerous thing and is often met with unChrist like ridicule for daring to challenge it, even when there is a great deal of scriptures that flatly refute it. I will address this issue as well. There are absolutely no scriptures that require a person to believe that God is a triune being in order to obtain Salvation. Biblical Monotheists hold strongly to the belief that Christ Jesus is the only Begotten Son of God who possesses Deity and is the only means by which man can be saved.
I believe in the literal future, bodily 2nd Coming of Christ, my Lord and Savior. It is at this time when He will Resurrect all the dead in Christ and then transform living believers which is called the Rapture. All believers will live eternally with Him here on Earth, not in heaven. No scriptures place Christians as ever living in Heaven. This is the most Orthodox teaching in Christian history. It wasn't until the late 1700s AD when the Pre-Tribulation Rapture was invented by a Jesuit Priest named Manuel Lagunza and is totally not Biblical. In 1830 AD a Plymouth Brethren member named John Nelson Darby came up with the same Pre-Tribulation Rapture "Theory" and he also invented what is called "Traditional Dispensational Theology. Many Seminaries have fallen prey to this deception and unfortunately as such have led many people astray.
I believe that Salvation can only be obtained through a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. Works play no part in our salvation. The Roman Catholic position of Faith plus Works is also not Biblical. However, the Evangelical position of salvation being through "Faith Alone" is also not a Biblical position. Many Baptists and Evangelicals also hold to Faith Alone. To understand the issue of Salvation one must harmonize all related passages and not hold to preconceived ideas. Those who hold to a faith "alone" position have to ignore the scriptures that make "Repentance and water Baptism" that also leads to one's salvation in addition to Faith. Their position is a very dangerous position. Another area of discussion.
Water Baptism is also an important element of obtaining salvation. Post Resurrection, Jesus made it mandatory. Mark 16:16 makes this abundantly clear as well as Acts 3:38 and Romans 6 among many other scriptures. This will also be addressed in the articles on this site.
I also believe that God has given man Free Will and that while God does draw all men to Himself through Christ Jesus via His Holy Spirit, man has the Free will to either accept the Gospel message or reject it.
As time allows, I will continue to post articles and videos dealing with many theological issues and also the practical issues of day to day life and relationship building. So keep checking in.
